Townsville is 50 km from Villagetown. From Villagetown, Townsville is thirty degrees to the right of Boroughcity.

1. How far is Boroughcity from Townsville?

2. How far is Boroughcity from Villagetown?

    i got triangle which i labelled bvt and vt is the base.....And with the 30 degrees at bVt also vt is 50 km

    or wat is the lenght of tb in the triangle i sketched..
    using trigs....
    tan = opp/adj
    tan 30/1 = opp/50
    opp = 50tan30
    opp = 29 km

    Boroughcity from Townsville or tb:
    tb = 29 Km

    2. How far is Boroughcity from Villagetown?

    or the lenght of vb in the triangle i skecthed....

    trigs here also..
    sin = opp/hyp
    sin 30/1 = 29/hyp
    hyp sin 30 = 29
    hyp 0.5 = 29
    hyp = 29/0.5
    hyp = 58
    so
    Boroughcity from Villagetown or vb is

    vb = 58 Km
